Greg ReidGreg Reid has served as Chief Executive Officer of Kraken Robotics since 2022, after joining the company in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer and later serving as Chief Operating Officer. He has played a driving role in Kraken’s growth into a global leader in advanced subsea robotics, sensors, and autonomous maritime systems serving defense and commercial markets. Mr. Reid brings more than 25 years of experience in technology investment, capital markets, and operational leadership. Prior to joining Kraken, he was a founding partner of a boutique Canadian investment bank where he led the firm’s technology and clean technology research and investment banking practices and contributed to its successful sale to a Tier 1 Canadian bank. Mr. Reid is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Shaun McEwanMr. McEwan is President of ADGA, a professional services firm focused on the defence and security market in Canada. Mr. McEwan has more than 25 years of experience in finance and executive leadership in public and private high tech companies. These include CEO and CFO for Quarterhill Inc. (TSX: QTRH), a growth-oriented, diversified holding company focused on the Industrial Internet of Things; the Chief Financial Officer of WiLAN, an publicly traded industry leading intellectual property (IP) licensing company; CFO of Breconridge Manufacturing Solutions, and CFO of Calian Technologies Ltd. before being promoted to President and CEO. He led the IPO of Microstar Software on the TSX in 1993 and has extensive experience with corporate financings and M&A transactions.
Vice Admiral Michael J. ConnorIn a 35-year career in which he rose to the rank of Vice Admiral in the United States Navy, Mike Connor commanded at the ship, squadron and task force levels. His assignments included command of USS SEAWOLF, a nuclear-powered attack submarine, Submarine Squadron Eight, Undersea Forces in the Western Pacific and the Arabian Gulf. He held several concurrent titles during his last assignment; including Commander, United States Submarine Forces, Commander, Submarine Forces Atlantic and Commander, Allied Submarine Command. He served as commander of U.S. submarine forces from September 2012 until September 2015. Vice Admiral Connor led the US Navy Submarine Force into robotic undersea systems, achieving key milestones including the first operational deployment and recovery of an unmanned underwater vehicle from a submarine. He also led innovation efforts that began the shift away from undersea search operations based on expensive platforms and moved toward operations based on large numbers of inexpensive vehicles. He has written extensively on the future of undersea warfare and is a sought-after speaker on undersea warfare topics. His education includes a B.A. in Physics from Bowdoin College and an M.A. in National Security Studies from the United States Naval War College. Vice Admiral Connor is currently the CEO of ThayerMahan Inc., a company he founded to accelerate the United States’ ability to effectively and efficiently monitor ocean activity using autonomous systems.
Peter HunterMr. Hunter is founder, Chairman, and Managing Partner of Artemis Capital Partners, L.P., a Boston-based private equity firm. An attorney and CPA, Mr. Hunter brings over 30 years of experience as an investor and operator. Mr. Hunter also brings subsea technology expertise to Kraken’s Board, having served 3 years as the Chairman of Hydroid, LLC, an industry leader in unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) with its REMUS UUV brand. Mr. Hunter was Chairman of Hydroid from its early days to its eventual acquisition by Kongsberg Maritime, AS in 2008. Hydroid was subsequently acquired from Kongsberg in 2020 by Huntington Ingalls, the US Navy’s largest shipbuilder and UUV provider (now known as HII).
Kristin RobertsonKristin Robertson is a highly-experienced, recognized C-suite executive with experience leading complex portfolios. She has extensive knowledge of disruptive technology, digital practices and methodologies across the lifecycle in the defense, space, intelligence, and commercial sector and is a trusted leader with a successful track record delivering transformational results by empowering teams for more than two and half decades.
From 2022 to 2023, Ms. Robertson served as President, Space & C2, a division of RTX Corporation (formerly Raytheon Technologies Corporation), one of the world's largest aerospace companies, providing cutting edge integrated space solutions for defense, intelligence, and commercial customers globally.
Prior to joining RTX Corporation, Ms. Robertson had a 27 year career at Boeing, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of Autonomous Systems, a division of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) (2018 to 2022), where she oversaw a seabed to space portfolio that included key franchise programs such as MQ-25 Stingray, Orca Extra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicle, and Boeing's Airpower Teaming System, a disruptive collaborative combat aircraft, during this time she also served as Chair for five wholly owned Boeing subsidiaries. Previously, Ms. Robertson held various senior leadership positions, including Vice President/General Manager, Boeing Defense Autonomous Systems (2016 to 2018), Vice President, Tiltrotor Programs and Bell-Boeing V-22 Program Director (2013 to 2016); and Senior Director co-leading the development of the T-X (T-7) Red Hawk training program (2012 to 2013). Prior to this she was Director, Weapons programs and served as Mission Systems IPT Director for a Boeing Phantom Works proprietary program.
Ms. Robertson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of California San Diego and Master of International Business degree from Saint Louis University. She earned certifications in lean practices from the University of Tennessee, Program Management from Defense Acquisition University, and completed the Integral Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame. She is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society and Society of Women Engineers.
Ms. Robertson is also recognized by the Society of Women Engineers and National Engineer's Council for her leadership and support of Women in STEM. She founded KBR Insights and serves on several private equity-backed boards and provides other advisory services.
Kim ButlerKim Butler brings more than 35 years of executive experience in financial, operational, and governance roles with Canadian and multinational organizations, both publicly traded and private. She has served as a board member and Chair of Audit and Special Committees for leading companies in technology, utilities, and defence, and is recognized for her expertise in corporate governance, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Butler previously served as Head of Business Operations and Integration at Ericsson following the acquisition of CENX where she held interim CEO and CFO/COO roles. As SVP Finance and CFO at Bridgewater Systems, a global leader in mobile policy solutions, she led the company’s initial public offering in 2007, and later its successful acquisition by Amdocs in 2011. Prior to Bridgewater, she held senior finance roles at Asea Brown Boveri, and Mitel Corporation.
Don RobertsonMr. Robertson brings more than 30 years of experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and public company governance. He has advised boards of directors and senior management teams on a wide range of strategic matters, including M&A, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic financings.
Don currently serves as Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Board of Directors for Bragg Gaming Group, a TSX and Nasdaq listed technology provider. He previously served as Managing Director and Head of Global Mergers and Acquisitions for Scotiabank, and as Chief Executive Officer, Canada and Head of Corporate Finance, Americas at Standard Chartered Bank.
Mr. Robertson holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Laurentian University, an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, and a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1998.
Bernard MillsBernard Mills is President of Kraken Robotics, a Canadian underwater systems innovator specialising in intelligent acoustic and optical imaging, specialised power systems and maritime autonomy. In 2026, Kraken announced the largest-ever outward investment by a Canadian maritime technology company in its acquisition of UK-based Covelya Group, creating a global organisation of over 1200 people with operational capability in 8 countries.
Prior to his current role, Bernard was CEO and Managing Director of Stelia Aerospace North America, an advanced composites manufacturer and part of the Airbus Group. In his time in Canada, Bernard also held the role of President Ultra Sonar Systems until its 2022 acquisition by Advent Capital, including leading major operations in Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. Earlier in his career, Bernard worked in strategic and industry policy roles within the Australian Department of Defence and related agencies, and subsequently spent a significant period in senior roles at Thales in both Australia and France.
Bernard holds a BCom (Economics) from the University of Western Australia, an MA (Strategic and Defence Studies) from the Australian National University, and an MBA from HEC Paris. He is also an alumnus of the United States Foreign Policy Institute at George Washington University, and of the Executive Leadership Program at Duke University. Alongside his executive functions, he is Director of Quinzieme Holdings, an investment vehicle through which he supports and advises high-technology start-up companies.
D. Joseph MackayMr. MacKay joined Kraken as CFO in July 2019. Mr. MacKay has over thirty years of finance, investment, and research experience, targeted primarily toward the technology, telecommunications and media sectors. Mr. Mackay is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with experience in audit, accounting and management consulting. Mr. MacKay is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Terra PenroseFor more than 20 years, Terra has been cultivating culture and connection with employees and leaders across diverse jurisdictions and industries. Terra holds a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) Designation and has been an avid volunteer with CPHR Nova Scotia for many years. She currently sits on the CPHRNS Board of Directors and the Finance & Audit Committee and has led the professional development committee. In 2025, Terra was awarded the HR Award of Excellence which recognizes exemplary HR professionals who demonstrate leadership in the HR profession and their organization through strong HR practices and innovative programs leading to the achievement of business results. Her volunteerism over the years has extended beyond business with the United Way of Halifax Region, ISANS, and the Progress Club Halifax Citadel Chapter.

Andrew GriffinMr. Griffin is the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of Kraken Robotics. As a member of the executive leadership team, he oversees the company’s legal, governance, and corporate affairs functions and helps shape the company’s strategic, governance, and growth initiatives, supporting Kraken’s continued expansion as a global leader in advanced subsea sensing and robotic systems.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Legal Officer, Mr. Griffin served as Director, Legal at Kraken Robotics, where he played a key role in supporting the company’s strategic growth, M&A, governance framework, commercial operations, and public company responsibilities. Before joining Kraken, Mr. Griffin spent three years with Lumine Group, a subsidiary of Constellation Software, where he advised on mergers and acquisitions and strategic initiatives across a portfolio of global software businesses. During his tenure, he supported domestic and international acquisitions and worked closely with senior leadership teams on corporate strategy, growth initiatives, and operational excellence. Earlier in his career, Mr. Griffin was a Senior Associate at Gowling WLG, where he advised public and private companies, investors, and entrepreneurs on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, corporate finance matters, and governance issues.
Mr. Griffin holds a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University. His expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, strategic planning, public company compliance, and business growth initiatives.
Simon PartridgeSimon brings more than 30 years of experience in the underwater technology industry . He grew up as part of the original family business Sonardyne, being part of its’ highly successful growth to large international company recognised for its innovation, trusted partnerships with customers and the care and development of its employees. With a degree in engineering and oceanography he worked as a junior engineer taking systems offshore, before running the R&D group for many years, developing key new products. Simon then moved into business management and strategy driving some of the key acquisitions, before taking the lead as Executive Chairman of the group. His passion is meeting customers and understanding their requirements and the innovative solutions that can be delivered to meet them. Simon is steering technology development and alignment in wider group going forwards and is part of the strategy leadership team.
Dr. Graham BrownGraham Brown has spent over twenty five years at Sonardyne, a journey from Chief Mechanical Engineer to Managing Director, contributing to the development of innovative underwater technology solutions on one hand and growing the business on the other. Known for his considered approach, deep technical expertise, and collaborative style, he enjoys tackling complex commercial and technical challenges to engineer winning solutions. Graham values building strong relationships with colleagues and customers alike, and takes pride in delivering work that makes a real impact. Outside of work, he might be found coppicing an ancient woodland.
Gary MoynehanGary brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across complex multinational and privately owned organisations, predominantly in the Aerospace & Defence sectors. A Chartered Accountant by training, he has built a distinguished career leading business transformation, strategic execution, and performance improvement programmes within multi-national organisations employing 1,500–4,000 people and generating revenues of £300 million to £1 billion. Combining deep financial expertise with broad operational and strategic leadership experience, Gary is passionate about helping organisations enhance enterprise performance, drive sustainable growth, and create long-term value for customers, employees, and stakeholders worldwide.
David SheaDavid Shea is the Executive Vice President, Growth & Strategy for Kraken Robotics, based in Mount Pearl, NL. Mr. Shea has been managing the design, production and operation of underwater robots in the United States and Canada for over 12 years. He has led field teams on sea trials all over the world, and was deploying Kraken’s sonar technologies for the discovery of the HMS Erebus from the 2014 Franklin Expedition and the Raise of the Arrow Expedition in 2017 (resulting in the discover of 2 of 9 Avro Arrow models). Previously, he was the Engineering Manager at Marine Robotics Inc, as well as being the lead design engineer for the SQX-500 AUV. Mr. Shea holds a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Victoria.
