In 2020, Kraken announces that it has signed contracts with two NATO-allied navies, the Royal Danish Navy and the Polish Navy.

Under these contracts, Kraken will deliver its KATFISH™ towed Synthetic Aperture Sonar, Tentacle® Winch, and Autonomous Launch and Recovery System (ALARS). Kraken also announces $2.9 million in research and development funding from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP). This funding will be used to support the development of Kraken’s seabed resident ThunderFish® XL Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (TFXL AUV).
